Tonight Michelle Nunn (D) debates David Perdue (outsourcing expert) for an hour starting at 7:00 PM, followed by the Gubernatorial debate at 8:10 PM between Jason Carter (D) and Nathan Deal. Libertarian candidates are also participating.

Expect Perdue's history, of outsourcing US jobs to poor countries, to take center stage as Georgia has the nation's highest unemployment rate.

On Friday, a legal deposition was published by Politico, in which Perdue said "I spent most of career doing that [i.e. outsourcing]".

This week (maybe tomorrow), the Nunn campaign airs their newest ad:

The campaign is planning new advertisements slamming the latest revelations of Mr. Perdue’s business career that will air later this week. In the context of modern campaigns – that it will have waited five days since the story broke [on Friday] to blast it across Georgia TV screens feels like an eternity. - WSJ

Their previous ad about Perdue's outsourcing was a good one and tested highly among independents and women. Here it is:

Nunn's campaign has probably waited these 5 days to see if Perdue would gift them anything else during tonight's debate.

For example, yesterday Perdue responded to local news media that he is "proud" of his experience sending US jobs abroad:

Also yesterday, the WSJ reported:

David Perdue...was concerned about his own employment prospects as he left a company months before it folded, a closure that put thousands of people out of work. [snip]

“I had the prospects of being unemployed with no severance protection at that point in time,” Mr. Perdue said in the deposition, explaining why he met with representatives from Dollar General in December 2002.

After this debate, there's a lull in the debate calendar between Nunn and Perdue with only two debates scheduled for the final weekends.
